Early Childhood Caries Prevention Workgroup

Goal - To raise awareness Early Childhood Caries disease process, the importance of children?s oral health to their total health and to develop an action plan to address early childhood caries prevention and treatment for Floridians.

Bright Futures Website

Bright futures incorporates oral health into total health and also has a section focusing on Oral Health only. There are several links to oral health resources under different topics. This focuses on those in positions that give anticipatory guidance to families (i.e. school nurses or Healthy Start or Head Start outreach staff) rather than something that would be taught in a classroom. The family tip sheets include oral health guidance for each age group and there are health activity sheets for children.
